During the week, we have taught about the great authors for children literature. First of all, Raquel taught something related their works and after that, she had explained about our task.
Our task was focused on the search and investigation of an author in groups. Each group chose a paper that contained a name. In our case, we wanted to investigate about Eric Carle so, in the paper put “David Shannon”.
We had not any idea about this author and it was not easy to talk about a stranger. Raquel explained that we had to convince the audience about that man was the best author.
We had a guide to introduce our author in a correct way talking about their life, works and topics and the reasons of that he was the better.
We decided to divide the task and we developed many curiosities about him. By this reason, we were more involved in our work.
I think that we had many reasons to expose this author as the better: He had won lots of awards; he wrote his books when he was a child and he will record a movie with “DreamWorks”.
In my opinion, he understood how to tell their stories in an interesting way. Works as “No David”(1998) and “How I became a pirate” were their hall of fame.
When we had all the information, each group prepared a PowerPoint to explain his author. It was an interesting class because each presentation had something interesting. Congratulations!
